This is the very first piece I created, as the lockdown was announced I needed to fill my evenings in a positive way, my creative inner soul was trying to surface…
I found some old mosaic beads in the playroom and if you look closely you’ll see the tree is made up of cut out limbs from magazines. Over the course of a week, I strategically placed pieces together, whilst a rollercoaster of emotions ran through me, the girls swing suspended off of a limb branch as the multicoloured rainbow turns into rain. This piece holds a certain strain of sadness but what I did not predict in the making of this piece is that sometimes there’s a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow…
