This was one of my first commissions for a dear friend Catherine,
Whilst her new home was undertaking some major renovations she was soon to have a whole new interior to fill! She knew she wanted an elephant as she has a love for this beautiful animal after her many visits to Thailand, a country that holds many memories & a special place in her heart.
She had no colour palettes in mind, and to go with whatever I felt and that is exactly what I did!! I thought about the warmth of Thailand and the concentrated particularly on the wrinkly skin on these beautiful giants.
Obviously, I gave this piece to Catherine as a house warming gift 🙂
